Editing and Proofreading

In addition to our translation services, Amatista offers editing and proofreading of previously translated material, using professional translators and proofreaders to go over the material in a two-tier step to ensure the highest quality.

Editing is the first task that should be undertaken after finishing the first draft of a piece of text. It involves checking the content of the text to ensure that the ideas are expressed clearly and logically, and form a coherent and meaningful whole. After the adjustments from the editing process have been made, the text is ready for proofreading.

Proofreading involves checking over the text in finer detail after the editing stage, to detect errors in spelling, typography, style, format, layout, grammar, punctuation and use of language.

While editing requires careful analysis and critical thinking, proofreading requires a great deal of attention to detail.
